What Should I Expect at FB Forney?
We're relaxed. Come in jeans or khakis; or if you prefer, come in a suit or dress. You'll find a variety of styles here, and we like it that way.
When are your services?
Sundays at 8:00a (Classic Worship), 9:30a Encounter (Band-led Worship) and 10:50a (Blended Worship)
Bible Study for all ages is on Sundays at 9:30a and 11:00a
Hispanic Worship is on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in our Chapel.
Wednesday services are 6:30p with a meal beforehand.
Where are you located?
We are at 1003 College Street (FM 741) in Forney, Texas across from Claybon Elementary. A map is located under the contact header on our home page. Click here for directions and location maps.
What do you believe?
We believe that we're here to bring glory to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We passionately desire to worship Jesus Christ, to instruct and encourage Christians to become like Christ and to share Jesus, our savior and Lord, with the world. Should I bring a Bible?
Yes. But we also include all of the text on the screens for your convenience.
Your campus looks big--how do I know where I should go?
Feel free to ask any of our members or greeters or stop by an information booth and tell them what you're looking for. We have greeters and information booths at every entrance. The buildings are also labeled with large letters.
- Building A contains our Worship Center and some classrooms.
- Building B contains our Administrative Offices and Chapel.
- Building C (at the back, NE corner of the campus) contains our Garage for Students, Great Hall, and Kitchen.
- Building D (at the back NW corner of the campus) contains our Children's Event Center and First Baptist Academy. The second floor is primarily Adult and Children's Classrooms.
I like FB Forney, how do I join?
Joining is simple! During each service, Bro. Jim will extend an invitation for new members and new believers. Simply walk down to one of the staff members present and inform them that you would like to join. Also, once a month, we have a new members class called 1st PLACE at 1st FORNEY; check the worship folder, look on the website or watch the screen announcements for the upcoming dates.
I Want to Be Baptized. What is the process?
You can either visit with one of our staff members during the invitation on Sunday morning or contact the church office at 972.564.3357.
I would like to get involved. How do I do that?
The best way to get involved at First Baptist Forney is to join a Bible Study class. You can also look in the Connection Magazine for upcoming events.
I have kids. What kind of children and youth programs do you offer?
We're here to help you build a foundation of faith in your children. We offer childcare during the Sunday morning services and Bible Study Classes. We also have programs for children through the sixth grade, as well as a student-themed Wednesday service for middle school and high school students. I still have questions, what should I do?
Our Church Office is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Call 972.564.3357 and explain to our receptionist what area of ministry you have a question for.
