Pray, Give, Go

Evangelizing the lost is essential to one's personal growth in godliness. Through Jesus' discipleship of the original disciples, we learn that personal involvement in local evangelism and global missions is not the result of spiritual maturity, but rather the means to spiritual maturity.

Pray-Give-Go is our annual church-wide season for seeking renewed personal passion for evangelism and missions.

November: Month of Prayer

We invite you to spend the month of November praying daily for the hearts of our members to be filled with fresh passion for local evangelism and global missions. We encourage you to meditate and pray through the following daily verses and prayer requests provided in our November Prayer Guide below. Remember to follow us on Facebook for daily prayer posts throughout the month.

During November, we will also have special prayer emphases for missions in our Tuesday Night Prayer Services at 6:30 p.m. in the Forum.

Let your prayer for others this November be the light that shines in the darkness. Perhaps the most profound revelation of God’s light comes through Jesus Christ. John 8:12 captures Jesus’ powerful declaration: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” This wasn’t just a metaphor – it was a promise of transformation and hope that holds even in our darkest moments.

December: Giving Month

In December, we ask that you consider giving your "Greatest Gift to Jesus." We invite you to pray and ask the Lord if he wants you to participate in giving a missions offering over and above your regular giving to the budget. 100% of this offering goes to local evangelism and global missions.

This year's Giving Sunday kickoff is on Dec. 7. Throughout the month, we will continue to collect the Greatest Gift to Jesus offering.

How is the Greatest Gift to Jesus Offering Used?
A portion of our mission offering will go to our church plants in Hawaii and Africa, our 80/20 compassion ministries, our North American and international mission trips, training for church leaders, and funding towards our partnership with the IMB. This mission's offering will also accelerate our Kingdom advance beyond these by funding many other gospel opportunities locally, nationally, and globally.

January: Go Month

The call to "GO" is central to our Christian faith. It's an invitation to step out of our comfort zones and bring Christ's message to a world in need of good news. Everyone has opportunities to be part of God's mission, whether it is across the globe, across the nation, or right here in our community.

If you're sensing a deeper call to missions, it's no coincidence. God often speaks to our hearts in quiet yet powerful ways, inviting us to step out in faith and trust Him for greater things. This stirring you feel might be His way of preparing you for a deeper journey that will not only impact others but transform your own life in ways you never imagined.

Where will you GO this year? Whether far or near, each step brings us closer to fulfilling God's mission to make disciples of all nations. Let's GO together.

Annual Missions Expo

Don't miss our Annual Missions Expo on Sunday, Jan. 25. This is an opportunity for you and your family to get in-depth information about each of our local evangelism efforts and global mission trips. Visit with members who participate in the programs or have gone on the trips; meet missionaries; sample food from the regions we visit; and see native costumes or customs come to life.

There are activities for children, including a Faith Explorer Passport that allows them to embark on a journey around the world without ever leaving the Expo! Families can explore evangelism opportunities or trips they can participate in together. Our Mall will be filled with booths and activities to help you learn more about missions at FBC Forney.
