Upward Basketball League
We offer leagues for boys and girls in Kindergarten through Grade 6. The leagues are divided as follows:
- Kindergarten (co-ed)
- 1st-2nd Grade Boys and 1st-2nd Grade Girls
- 3rd-4th Grade Boys and 3-4th Grade Girls
- 5th-6th Grade Boys and 5th-6th Grade Girls
Cheerleading is for girls in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
EVALUATIONS
Every player and cheerleader must attend one of the Evaluation/Sizing days to complete their registration! All Evaluations are come-and-go and are located at First Baptist Church Forney Fitness Center.
Kindergarten through 4th Grade Players/Any Cheerleaders:
- Saturday, October 31, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Monday, November 9, 6:30 pm- 8:00 pm
5th-6th Grade Players/Any Cheerleaders:
- Monday, November 2, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
- Thursday, November 12, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Practices begin the week of December 6. Games begin on January 8 and 9.
The price is $105 per participant, which includes a jersey, t-shirt, shorts, and an end-of-year award for basketball players, and a cheer top, skort, megaphone, pom-poms, and an end-of-year award for cheerleaders.
Registration will open on Oct. 1
Upward Flag Football and Cheer
Upward Football is a Christ-centered league focused on skill development, character building, and sportsmanship.
EVALUATIONS
Every player and cheerleader must attend one of the following evaluations, which are come-and-go events:
- Saturday, July 11, 10-11:30 am
- Monday, July 13, 6:30-8:00 pm
- Saturday, July 18, 10-11:30 am
Football players should come ready to run through some drills. Cheerleaders must come to be sized for their uniforms.
REGISTRATION
Registration is open June 1 - July 18 for ages Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Cost is $105 per player/cheerleader, including the uniform, practice-day devotions, and an end-of-season award.
Teams practice once a week on Sundays, Mondays, or Thursdays beginning August 16.
Games are played on Saturdays from September 5 to October 24, with games finishing by 2:00 pm.
