Classes for Women
- Forever for our Good - Deuteronomy - A Study of Deuteronomy
by Katie J. McCoy Ph.D. What comes to mind when you think of the biblical laws of the Old Testament? Perhaps a list of rules
that don't apply to our time and place? Or a section of Scripture you just try and power through,
something mostly irrelevant since Jesus has come? The truth is, these laws are hidden gems of grace for your benefit even today.
In this 8-session Bible study for women, author and theologian Katie J. McCoy walks through the
book of Deuteronomy, an invitation to abundant life found through faith-filled devotion to the Lord
alone. At the core of Deuteronomy is love. God sets His love on us, and as we learn to love Him with
all our hearts, souls, and strength, we learn to love our neighbor as ourselves. This kind of love
fulfills the entire Law, puts the character of God on display through our lives, and is forever for our
good. Click here to order the book.

- Jesus Over Everything - A Study of Colossians - Join us for a 7-week journey through the book of Colossians. Discover the unchanging truth that Jesus Christ is supreme over all things, sufficient for every need, and enough for every season of
life. Written by women from our own church family, this study features live teaching from its authors each week, followed by table group discussion designed to help you understand God's Word and apply it to everyday life. Come grow in your love for Christ, be grounded in the gospel, and experience the fullness of life found in Him.

Women Equipped - Do you desire to know God's Word more deeply and feel more confident studying, teaching, or leading others? Women Equipped is a 13-week learning cohort designed to help women grow in their understanding of Scripture while developing practical skills for faithful Bible study, discipleship, and ministry leadership.
Whether you're already serving in ministry or simply sensing God calling you to take your next step, this cohort is designed to equip you for wherever He leads. You may find this cohort is a great fit if you are:
- Considering leading a HEART Group or small group
- Interested in facilitating a Bible study
- Serving or preparing to serve in church ministries
- Hoping to become a stronger disciple-maker or mentor
- Exploring opportunities to teach God's Word
- Developing Bible study or teaching materials
- Simply hungry to grow in your knowledge of Scripture and be better equipped for ministry
The cohort begins on Wednesday, August 19, and meets weekly throughout the fall semester. Because much of the learning happens through discussion, practice, and shared experiences, space is intentionally limited. Keeping the cohort small allows for meaningful interaction, thoughtful discussion, and personal encouragement as we learn and grow together. If you're interested, we encourage you to reach out early, as space is limited.
If you're ready to grow deeper in God's Word and be equipped to serve others more effectively, we'd love for you to join us. Contact Nicole Lino at nrlino@fbcforney.org to discuss participating this fall.
- HEART Groups are small groups of 5-6 women meeting weekly, discussing God’s Word and your interaction with it over the course of that previous week. These groups will guide women to take their copy of the Bible, read it for themselves, journal about it, and grow in godliness from having been immersed in the living and active Word of God in a regular and meaningful way. Several groups are offered on Wednesdays here at the church.
- Other Bible study classes and Heart Groups are offered during the week. Visit the Women's Ministry Page for details.
