First Baptist Church Forney in Forney

First Baptist Church Forney has been a cornerstone of the community since 1868. From its humble beginnings near Mustang Creek to the long-standing pastorates of Jerry Griffin (1960-1993) and the late Dr. Jimmy D. Pritchard (1994-2021), the church has a rich legacy of faithful service.

Since moving to College Street in 2001 and opening a new multi-purpose worship facility in 2019, FBC Forney has continued to evolve to meet the needs of a growing population. In 2022, Nathan Lino was named Senior Pastor, introducing a three-fold strategy focused on gospel impact: church planting, mercy-based compassion ministries, and Christian education—highlighted by the 2024 opening of our K-12 Christian School.

FBC Forney exists to help people actually follow Jesus every day.

FBC Forney en Español hosts separate services in Spanish. The congregation meets at the main campus of FBC of Forney at 1003 College Street. First Baptist Church Forney in Elmo

In May of 2026, we entered into a strategic partnership with Elmo Community Church, and our family of churches began. On Sunday, September 13, we will officially open First Baptist Church in Elmo.
